Misadventures in Hair

Some recent photos of me just for amusement.

Here is my hair after my daughter decided to decorate it last week:

New Hairstyle

A day later, my wife was giving me the monthly haircut (she’s been cutting my hair for 5+ years), but this time she forgot to put the guard on the hair-clippers, so she shaved it too short. We decided to just shave it all off:

Since then she’s been teasing me that I looked like a Buddhist monk, or obลsan in Japanese. The term obลsan is kind of a generic word for Buddhist priest in Japanese, though more formally there are various words and terms to distinguish priests and their roles, though most are not commonly used in day-to-day speech. Anyway, I started chanting the Heart Sutra out loud in a deep, croaking voice (as priests in Japan often do) as a joke in response. ๐Ÿ™‚
