Here upon the Pale Blue Dot dwells a man who spends his days obsessing over things like foreign languages, Buddhism, Star Trek, Dungeons and Dragons and books by Roger Zelazny. He is blessed by a wife and children that he loves dearly and who tolerate his odd habits. Many of these habits found their way onto this blog.

Our second child was born in 2013. He loves Dinosaurs, Charlie Brown, chocolate and playing with Daddy. We call him “Little Guy” here on the blog. He is greatly loved. 😄
Our first daughter, “Princess” (previously called “Baby” in earlier posts) was born in late 2006, before I started blogging. She was my inspiration for taking Buddhist practice more seriously so I could be a better father. She is still my inspiration in a lot of ways. 🙂
My Better Half
My wife and I have known each other for almost 20 years as of writing, but have been married for 12. Time has passed really fast though and we’ve had a lot of fun together.
Because she is from Japan, and I am American, we have learned a lot from each other over the years. International marriages can be challenging, but if you really take the time to listen to and understand your partner, it really is a rewarding relationship.
